Biography:
Jon Sandifer travelled and worked his way around the world at the age of 17. During his six years of travels through 52 countries he developed a growing interest in Oriental philosophy and healing systems. At the age of 23 he began to eat macrobiotic food and enrolled at the Kushi Institute in London to train as a macrobiotic teacher and counsellor.
Initially he studied the work of Michio Kushi, which involved learning macrobiotic cookery, macrobiotic medicine, Oriental diagnosis, Yin and Yang, Shiatsu massage and the Japanese exercise routine Do-In. He also took up the martial art Aikido and learnt the basics of anatomy, physiology and nutrition. He began teaching and developing the curriculum of the Kushi Institute in London along with institutes in Europe and the USA.
Over the next decade he taught all over the world and counselled thousands of individuals on Macrobiotics. In recent years he has developed his practise of Feng Shui and Nine Star Ki. A past chairman of the Feng Shui Society (UK) he has authored several books on the subject. Macrobiotics is for him the Inner Feng Shui. The importance of working in harmony with our inner and outer worlds. Jon has seven children and lives near London.
