Red Dragon Pie

We like make it to keep out the damp in the Welsh valleys It's very good with a pressed salad.


ingredients

  • polenta, water, pinch of salt
  • aduki beans or lentils (any type)
  • carrots, mushrooms, leek, courgette, oil
  • red or brown miso
  • ginger juice
  • rice syrup
  • dash of vinegar

instructions

  1. Boil the beans with Kombu for 30 mins.Then add the veg which can be sauted first if you wish. Simmer untill soft. Then stir in Miso, Viniger ,Rice Syrup & Ginger juice
  2. Simmer the Polenta in water with a pinch of salt. keep stiring and watch carefully, use a flame spreader for 30 mins untill you get a nice sauce
  3. oil a baking tray, and spoon in the bean-veg mixture nice and evenly
  4. Score the top with a fork & sprinkle with soya sauce then a few drops of olive oil
  5. Bake in a medium oven for 20 mins, or grill untill golden brown
